Managing a power failure – Bring it on
A quick and easy solution designed to divert power from your electrical supply to your back-up generator in the event of a power failure. Most commercial facilities require a changeover panel to support the back-up generator as a standard part of their contingency power package.

ATS200

A 200A three-phase (400V) automatic transfer switch for use within temporary electrical installations. Adjustable phase failure / under voltage relay monitoring of the primary, (duty), supply 1 only. The ATS effects automatic connection of a secondary, (standby), supply 2 to a load, upon failure of the primary, (duty), supply 1. Automatically switching back when supply 1 is re-instated. May be used on Mains – Generator, Mains - Mains, or Generator - Generator systems. Switching by a pair of mechanically and electrically interlocked 4 pole contactors. ATS class PC. Utilisation category AC-31B for resistive loads in line with BS EN 60947-6-1. Volt free changeover contact provided for a generator start signal. 20A Auxiliary supply for battery charging, jacket water heaters etc. Supply available and on load indication. Test switch simulating a phase failure. Timers to adjust switching between supplies.
Enclosure
Sheet steel enclosure with hinged door, with a textured powder coat to RAL7035 (Light Grey). Complying with EN 62208, EN 61439-1-2. Protection to IP54 - IK10. Suggested internal installation, if mounted externally we recommend fitting a top canopy with bottom entry cabling only. Power cabling directly onto contactors.

The Generator Connection Point (GCP) is designed to restore power to critical applications such as hospitals, schools, airports, banks and other commercial facilities. They can be fitted inside or outside of a building, allowing a safe and quick connection of a-back up generator to your facility's electrical system when required. The solutions can also be used to connect to your load bank when your back-up generator is undergoing testing/maintenance.

Operation
We recommend that the generator should be connected/disconnected when off load and not running. No voltage should be present at the power locks. We recommend following the convention of connecting in the following order: Earth - Neutral - L1 - L2 - L3, then disconnecting in reverse order.

The Generator Hookup Point can be fitted inside or outside of a building, allowing a safe and quick connection of a back-up generator to your facility’s electrical system when required. The equipment is housed within a wall mounted steel enclosure. Powerlock (Drain) connections to copper bars allow for top entry outgoing cables. 3mm aluminium top and bottom gland plates are provided for the customer. Powerlock (Source) cables can be supplied by IDE at an additional cost. Once connections have been made, the powerlocks can then be locked off to avoid further interference.

High vis orange (RAL7021) textured powder coated stainless steel construction (1.4003 grade). Other colour options maybe available by request. Powerlocks mounted on a 45 degree angle aluminum plate. 3mm aluminium top and bottom gland plates are provided. Assembled to IP54. Other enclosures - such as mild steel can be supplied upon request.
