Managing a power failure – Bring it on

A quick and easy solution designed to divert power from your electrical supply to your back-up generator in the event of a power failure. Most commercial facilities require a changeover panel to support the back-up generator as a standard part of their contingency power package.

ATS200

Automatic Transfer Switch

A 200A three-phase (400V) automatic transfer switch for use within temporary electrical installations. Adjustable phase failure / under voltage relay monitoring of the primary, (duty), supply 1 only. The ATS effects automatic connection of a secondary, (standby), supply 2 to a load, upon failure of the primary, (duty), supply 1. Automatically switching back when supply 1 is re-instated. May be used on Mains – Generator, Mains - Mains, or Generator - Generator systems. Switching by a pair of mechanically and electrically interlocked 4 pole contactors. ATS class PC. Utilisation category AC-31B for resistive loads in line with BS EN 60947-6-1. Volt free changeover contact provided for a generator start signal. 20A Auxiliary supply for battery charging, jacket water heaters etc. Supply available and on load indication. Test switch simulating a phase failure. Timers to adjust switching between supplies.

Enclosure

Sheet steel enclosure with hinged door, with a textured powder coat to RAL7035 (Light Grey). Complying with EN 62208, EN 61439-1-2. Protection to IP54 - IK10. Suggested internal installation, if mounted externally we recommend fitting a top canopy with bottom entry cabling only. Power cabling directly onto contactors.

Our Generator Connection Points are designed to restore power to critical applications. They can be fitted inside or outside of a building, allowing a safe and quick connection of a back-up generator to your facility’s electrical system when required.

400A Generator Connection Point

400A or 630A three-phase, neutral and earth Generator Connection Point designed to restore power to critical applications. The Generator Connection Point can be fitted inside or outside of a building, allowing a safe and quick connection of a back-up generator to your facility’s electrical system when required.

 Equipment housed within a wall mounted steel enclosure. Powerlock (Drain) connections to 30x10mm copper bars with 300mm spreading distance for top entry outgoing cables. 3mm aluminium top and bottom gland plates are provided for the customer

Operation

We recommend the generator should be connected / disconnected when off load and not running. No voltage should be present at the powerlocks. We would also recommend following the convention of connecting in the following order: Earth – Neutral – L1 – L2 – L3. Then disconnecting in the reverse order.

Regular load banking – Bring it on

We supply solutions which can be connected to your load bank when the back-up generator is undergoing testing/maintenance. Regular load banking is strongly advised to ensure that your generator will perform when the need arises.

1600A Inline Protection Unit

1600A 4 Pole ACB LSI supplying a common rated HDHC copper bus-bar system and load connection pads. All equipment housed in a steel enclosure with internal and external copper earth bar. Complete unit mounted within a galvanised steel crash frame with forklift pockets and lifting eyes. Fitted with Emergency stop shunt operated c/w Indication lamps.

Enclosure

Black (RAL9005) textured powder coated stainless steel 1.4003. Separate incoming and outgoing with internal protection shrouds and external panel key lock doors. Bottom aluminium gland plates. Assembled to IP55.
